Frequently Asked Questions.

  • The Course content is relevant to anyone exploring a professional career in arts Producing or arts Management as well as those already working in similar areas looking to refresh knowledge and gain new skills. The Courses may not be as useful for those with considerable arts experience, except as a refresher or to gain more relevant and up-to-date insight into current thinking and practice.

  • Our Courses are designed to be accessible to those with full time commitments by grouping content and learning intensively into a single day - usually a Monday or a Tuesday. Pre-course reading and post-course tasks are optional and can be completed in your own time to deepen learning.

  • In acknowledgement of everyone’s unique circumstances, we have designed our Courses to be scalable depending on individual capacity. The minimum requirement is the attendance of the four modules, but whilst we encourage engagement before and after the session with the rest of the community and with various resources and tasks, this will be optional.

Prior to the Course starting, we will invite participants to join our LVL/UP community, where we will share resources in advance of - and throughout - the Course. This will include things like exercises to do at home, suggested reading lists and handy tips and definitions.

  • Please email us and we’ll get in touch with you to find out how we can help.

  • Each module will last around 1.5 hours, with short breaks in between each module.

  • Yes - at the moment we are not able to make sessions available offline. If for any reason you are unable to attend a session please let us know in advance.

  • One of our priorities has been to keep Course fees to the most affordable level possible.

However we understand that for many people, this will still be too much of a stretch. If you are in employment or work regularly with an organisation as a freelancer, one option we recommend is approaching your Line-Manager to see if they would consider sponsoring all or part of your course fee. We can offer ideas about how to make this approach, if that’s helpful, starting with this email template for your boss.

Alternatively, we offer payment plans that mean you can spread the cost of the course over several instalments. Contact us to find out more.

We are also working to secure sponsorship to subsidise places for those not in a position to pay the full course fee. Please get in touch by email if you need our help.

  • Yes we can. Please get in touch as soon as possible so we can reserve your place, which we will hold for you for seven days. Once your invoice has been paid, we will confirm your booking.

  • If you complete the Course by attending all four sessions, you will receive a Certificate signed by our Course Instructors as well as a badge for your socials.

  • Yes, absolutely. However please be aware that due to the particular experiences of our Course Instructors, some content and material will be specific to British Producing and Managing contexts. Group sessions currently take place on a Monday or a Tuesday from 10.30am until 6.30pm British Summer Time (Summer Courses) and at Greenwich Mean Time (Spring and Autumn Courses).

  • Our Courses are delivered in spoken and written English, with some video and audio content.

  • This is a professional service for aspiring or working professionals. As such we commit to the highest levels of best practice, respect and delivery. We expect the same of our attendees and by signing up to our Courses you will be agreeing to our full Terms of Service. We reserve the right to suspend or refuse admission only if absolutely necessary.

  • Please let us know straight away and we will endeavour to rectify the situation to your satisfaction.

  • Yes, absolutely, although we suggest not at the same time as session dates will clash.

If you have a question that isn’t answered above, please get in touch and we will do our best to assist you.
